In November of 2013 we had Your Computer Solutions Inc. build and install a top of the line business computer for our accounting firm to be used by yours truly. The machine consists of a respectably powerful processor, more than adequate internal storage, and plenty of RAM. However this machine has a solid state hard drive (SSD), which really boosts the power and speed for everyday tasks that an accountant like myself incurs. With the addition of the SSD this computer absolutely screams with processing speed and power to open absolutely anything. Quickbooks opens in under 6 seconds, Proseries opens in under 6 seconds, and Ultra Tax opens in less than 5 seconds. Microsoft office programs do not even “load,” per say, but rather they open instantly. The optimization of this machine is a real benefit in my line of work because often I need to look up information across multiple program(s) years. After a full year of use the machine also shows no signs of slowing down either. I am truly impressed by the power of this computer and I can say without a doubt it is the best computer I have ever used. As a Mac user personally it always pained me to use a PC at the office, but now with one of YCS’s machines under my fingers, using Windows again has become enjoyable and problem free.
