Do I really need to keep up with maintenance?

After servicing over 400 clients in the Central Florida Area, the staff of Your Computer Solutions Inc. has determined that clients that use our Maintenance Service Plan have one quarter the number of emergency requests than a client that does not keep up with their computer maintenance. Clients that handle their maintenance regularly on their computer have one third the number of emergency requests. Clients that have properly maintained computer spend more of their service calls on training or improvements, where clients without spend most of their service calls on data recovery and virus repairs. Even with proper maintenance a computer can have problems. On average, a wipe and reload (after a backup) can increase the speed of your current computer. This will remove any negative or outdated information from the computer and ensure software is updated to the latest available patches. Your tech will help you determin if you should use our service plan for worry free maintenace or if your current computer knowledge level and available time will allow you to handle your own maintenance. Even if you choose not to maintain your computer, be sure to at least backup your data files once a month. Nothing is harder for a computer tech, than explaining to a client that all their work has been erased and cannot be recovered.
